Traffic management requirements for events vary depending on the nature of the event.

Regulations can be set by local government, NZTA (Transit) and OSH are clear in their stance of the need for traffic management to ensure the safety of everyone using the area. Organised events which “alter the normal operating conditions of the roadway” will require traffic management.
